History
Château Purcari is recognized as the most popular winery among Moldovan wine producers, being a leader in the production of premium wines in Moldova.
The estate is located in the Purcari wine region, south of Moldova. The winery’s heritage dates back to the 19th century when French settlers partnered with local monks to begin planting Bordeaux varieties here, alongside the indigenous grape varieties.
Over the years, Purcari has won more than 250 medals in international competitions such as “Decanter World Wine Awards”, “International Wine & Spirits Competition”, “Challenge International du Vin”, “Effervescents du Monde” and many other international competitions.

Vinification
Alb de Purcari is a stunning white composed of 50% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Grigio, along with a drop of Pinot Blanc 5%. The grapes are sourced from estate vineyards planted close to the Black Sea, which provides a cooling influence and helps to preserve aromatics and freshness. Hand harvest only. Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.
Tasting
With a beautiful light golden color, the wine has a complex aroma of green apple, honeysuckle and stone fruit. The palate offers mouthwatering freshness, a medium body, and a well-rounded texture with hints of cream and toasted oak from the barrel ageing. Perfect with semi-mature cheese with a rind; cod fillet with asparagus and hollandaise sauce.
Serve at 10-12°C.
