Château Baret has its origins dating back to the 4th century and was owned for generations by the Lords of Baret. In 1867, the Ballande family of merchants and shipowners acquired the estate. After a fire in the early 20th century, the château underwent extensive renovations, including both the vineyard and cellar, helping to shape the modern-day estate.
